Palau: A Pristine Paradise

Posted on 01.8.2024

Wow Palau!

What an incredible week of diving we’ve just had in Palau. What makes this little slice of the Pacific so amazing is its long-standing commitment to conservation. Palau is home to one of the largest marine protected areas in the world and was the first marine park of its kind, protecting 80% of a country’s national waters with a fully protected no-take zone. Palau is a true leader in marine conservation, and after more than a decade the results are clear. With direct flights now running out of Australia, I can see many return trips on the horizon. You can read about our trip in Scuba Diver ANZ issue # 73 here.
